Results of the Bar

Yesterday was a memorable day for about 6,000 Filipino barristers who took the Bar Exam on November last year.

I was one of those who waited for the results, not because I'm one of those who took the exam, but because there are people I know who took the exam. It could have added a another lawyer to this family.

It was on February 28 that I started checking for updates but then I found out that the results will be released on the following day at 2 PM.

It was morning when me and my husband we're trying to search for leaks or any information on the results, but to no avail.

At almost 2 PM, we turned the t.v. on and tuned in to our national news channel. It was just quite funny though. Because while the chief justice was giving the speech for the release of the results, the trial for his impeachment also started at the same time. And, it was shown both live on t.v. Haha!

Anyway, seeing those barristers waiting for the results also gave me the thrill and agony. Others were praying, while some have seriously anxious looking faces.

When the results were released, there were some who cried (I saw a few wiping tears from their eyes) and some who were almost jumping for joy while talking to somebody on their mobile phones.

*sigh* I wonder when the time will come for me to get to that point.

Anyway, it was quite unfortunate that our "candidate" did not pass. It just may be that the One Above us has a greater plan. It was quite a sad evening when we took our dinner. But, well.. some of us still have our chances. Hopefully, soon.

First Post of the Year

I guess it is never too late for this: "Happy new year everyone!"

I've been on an out of town vacation for the new year for almost a week so I never had a chance to post anything here. I also just recently got hired for another online job, the reason why I barely have time to write an entry although there are lots of things to blog about. And, our housemaid took off (I don't know where) after she went to her hometown for the new year.

Anyway, yesterday my little goddess turned 8 months older. :)) She has 3 front teeth: 2 lower incisors and 1 upper incisor, and started biting me every now and then. She also grits her teeth, for fun? She now babbles "ma-ma-ma" when she wants my attention or "memem" when she wants milk. A couple of days ago, she was trying to stand up on her own while holding on to the wall or the bed's headboard for support. But, last night she stood up on her own for 2-3 seconds without any support from anything at all. Weeeee! Way to go my baby bee!

Oh my, how fast the time flies.

There are lots of things that I should be thankful for, and this is one of them.
